Accessibility Statement
We want every patient to be able to use this site.
Our commitment
A cancer diagnosis is hard enough without a website getting in the way. We want this site to work for everyone who needs it, including people who use screen readers, magnification, speech input, or a keyboard instead of a mouse.
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA — the standard generally expected of healthcare providers.
What we have done
- Headings and landmark regions structure every page, so a screen reader can skip to what matters
- Meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology
- Text meets AA contrast against our navy and light blue
- The whole site is operable by keyboard, including the Services menu
- Focus indicators stay visible so keyboard users can see where they are
- Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320px, and stays readable when enlarged to 200%
- Animation is reduced automatically for visitors whose device requests it
Where we fall short
We would rather name the gaps than claim there are none.
- The embedded location map is provided by Google, and we do not control its accessibility. Every address and phone number on that map is also written out in text on the Contact page.
- Documents from third parties, such as insurer forms, may not meet the same standard. Ask us and we will provide the content another way.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this site is difficult to use, we want to hear about it. It helps to tell us the page address and what happened.
