Your care team here
Dr. R. Scott Akins practices at our San Antonio center. Dr. Akins is a board-certified radiation oncologist. He completed his residency at the University of Miami and earned his medical degree from Texas Tech University. A U.S. Air Force veteran with over a decade of service, he held leadership roles including Assistant Chief of Radiation Oncology at SAMMC.

This center offers the same techniques as every Mission location, including external beam radiation therapy, IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SBRT and stereotactic radiosurgery.
